Danish architect Stine Gam and Italian architect Enrico Fratesi form the husband-and-wife duo GamFratesi. After studying architecture together, the two founded the studio in 2006. They now operate GamFratesi out of Copenhagen, traveling often to Pesaro, Italy for research and inspiration. 

From their technique to their choice of materials, GamFratesi is a meeting of traditional and experimental. The two architects draw from their educations and upbringings, combining Danish craft traditions with an Italian approach. Together, they've designed products for Cappellini, Gubi, Louis Poulsen, Porro, and Lightyears.

The Beetle chair collection is a classic example of GamFratesi's design sensibilities. Introduced in 2013, this contemporary seating is beloved for its functionality and simplicity. Its rounded edges and shell-like shape give the aptly named Beetle a casual appeal while the chair’s conic base makes it ideal for both formal and informal spaces - a truly versatile piece reflective of the brand's unique fine-tuned approach to design.
