Crafted from a combination of fine wool with a cotton backing, this luxury hand-knotted rug is made using chemical-free production techniques, hand trimmed, washed with natural soap, and dried under the sun. Comprised exclusively of all natural fibers, the Cappelen Dimyr collection uses unbleached linens and wools that are hand-trimmed, washed with natural soap, and dried in the sun. The production process employs no chemicals, and the line's products proudly bear GoodWeave and Care & Fair certifications.

• DETAILS: Variations in color and detail are due to the rug's handcrafted nature making each piece a unique work of art.
• CARE: Cappelen Dimyr's long pile rugs tend to shed initially. It is recommended you vacuum your piece daily in the beginning as it naturally loses individual fibers. Shedding decreases after a couple of months and will not affect the quality of your rug. We recommend using a flat spout when vacuuming long pile rugs to avoid damaging the yarn. Do not use a heavy beater bar or use a vacuum on a close-to-the-ground setting. Use only warm water to gently remove stains. For heavier soil, add a small amount of normal soap. The wool contains a natural fat that helps prevent stains from penetrating its fibers. This fat is important to maintain. For excess liquid, gently dab with a microfiber cloth. Dry cleaning is recommended for a more thorough cleaning.
