Dshop proudly presents the Pietra Side Table collection, designed for Gubi by Italian architect Enrico Fratesi and Danish designer Stine Gam of GamFratesi, celebrated for their forward-thinking approach to furniture design. This captivating pair of stone side tables strikes a perfect balance between a commanding presence and refined softness, reflecting the studio's ongoing fascination with travertine. 

The term "Pietra," which translates to stone in Italian, pays tribute to the tables' material and its origins. Each table showcases the enchanting patterns found in travertine—a natural masterpiece formed over millennia. With every piece being distinct, the stone tables feature unique blends of color and veining, ensuring that each one stands out as a singular statement.

Constructed from six meticulously hand-fitted sections of travertine, Gubi's Pietra tables create the appearance of a cohesive monolithic block while remaining surprisingly lightweight and easy to move. The bold cuboid silhouette is elegantly softened by gently rounded edges and corners, hand-polished to a smooth finish, resulting in a sculptural aesthetic.

Functionality is key in the design, with raised edges that turn the tabletop into a useful tray-like surface. This clever feature makes the Pietra Side Table an adaptable addition to any space, whether as a bedside table, next to a lounge chair, or positioned beside a sofa or at the end of a bed in the rectangular variant.

Offered in two sizes—Pietra Side Table Large and Pietra Side Table Small—the tables also come in two striking finishes: Neutral White, which highlights veins of white and gray, and Lively Sepia, showcasing a warm blend of browns, tans, and grays. Each table not only serves a practical function but also stands as an artistic focal point in any environment it adorns.
