Loïe Suspension - Green

In celebration of their 10th anniversary, leading Parisian design studio MYDRIAZ debuts a capsule collection that combines dream-like elegance with a contemporary twist.

Combining artistic and artisanal disciplines, the Loïe suspension combines traditional metalwork with contemporary techniques. The fixture's unique shape was inspired by the light and airy Serpentine dance movements pioneered by American artist, Loïe Fuller. The shimmering of the delicate fabric and the floating allure of the moving material on the dancer’s costumes is reimagined on the brass structure of each pendant light. 

The Loïe suspension's mesmerizing curves are achieved by applying continuous heat to metal with a bright flame to allow it to be perfectly sculpted into a unique supernova form. Available in green or copper finish, the colored varnishes have been chosen to harmonize and enhance the natural properties of the underlying brass. The end result is an extraordinary piece that radiates and brings warmth to any space it adorns.

Each Loïe Suspension is made in small quantities by hand in Mydriaz’s Parisian workshop.
