Description

Designed by Illum Wikkelsø in 1959, the SW50 Sofa reveals a quieter side of the Danish designer’s work. Long horizontal lines and an exposed wooden frame lend the sofa a clean-lined architectural presence, balanced by both a slender footprint and comfortable proportions. Crafted from FSC®-certified oak and wood from other responsible sources (FSC® C176589), the unique wood legs and frame bring warmth and definition to its open silhouette. A slightly upright seating position encourages conversation, while the airy construction allows the generous four-seater to sit lightly within a room. Reintroduced by GUBI in its original format, the SW50 offers a timeless expression of Danish Modern design - understated, thoughtful, and made for gathering.
