Dining Chairs

Dining Chairs

Explore modern dining chairs in solid wood, woven paper cord, cane, leather, and upholstery. DSHOP’s collection brings together Danish Modern icons and contemporary European designs, with side chairs and armchairs suited to everyday meals, long dinners, and gathering around the table.

Comfort begins with proportion. Most dining tables are approximately 30 inches high and pair well with chairs whose seats are around 18 inches high. Check the clearance beneath the table, including any apron, to allow comfortable legroom. Consider each chair’s width and arm height—especially when placing armchairs at the ends or fitting several chairs along one side.

Material changes both the look and feel of a room. Solid wood brings warmth and enduring character, woven seats add texture and a lighter profile, and upholstered dining chairs offer softness for lingering at the table. For open-air meals, explore outdoor dining chairs in teak and durable plastic, bringing the same attention to comfort and design to patios and terraces.

Highlights include Hans J. Wegner’s CH24 Wishbone Chair for Carl Hansen & Søn, alongside sculptural designs by GUBI. Explore our dining tables collection to complete the setting.
